STC Helping HANDS
STC Helping Hands is committed to supporting the Telugu community in Sweden by: –
· Sharing critical information on pensions, insurance, wills, crisis preparedness and custodianship.
· Raising awareness of social issues affecting children and families.
· Providing emergency assistance, including moral support and practical help during illness, death, or crises.
· Organizing community mourning and memorial activities.
· Building and maintaining a trusted network for Telugu people living in Sweden.
Scope of Activities
Information Sharing & Guidance
· Maintain a dedicated section on the STC website covering:
o Custodianship & Wills inSweden
o Wills and inheritance of properties in India
o Pension and insurance guidance
o Social and children-related guidance for parents
o Emergency preparedness and useful information for prior and post-emergency situations
· Regularly update and maintain the accuracy of all shared information.
· Organize in-person events focused on each topic; the committee will handle planning and execution.
· Conduct periodical webinars to address topic-specific questions interactively.
Emergency Support & Task Force
· Form a dedicated task force during emergencies to provide moral support and assist families with on-ground
tasks.
· Organize mourning events for STC members when required.
· Maintain a separate “contingency fund” to collect donations specifically for emergency and mourning
support.
Community Support & Networking
· Encourage peer-to-peer support and volunteer involvement through an extended group beyond the core committee.
· Maintain communication channels, including WhatsApp groups, email lists, and website updates, for
timely alerts and information sharing.
Out of Scope
· No direct legal or medicalservices will be provided.
· No financial assistance or loans are provided.
· Direct parenting/upbringing advice beyond informational guidance will not be provided.
